Every piece from Steamboat Valley Woodworks is finished with Rubio Monocoat, a premium hardwax oil that enhances the natural beauty of the wood while providing durable, long-lasting protection. Unlike traditional film finishes, Rubio Monocoat bonds with the wood fibers, allowing for easy maintenance and spot repairs if needed.

Routine Cleaning

For most cleaning, simply wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth.

If additional cleaning is required, use Rubio Monocoat Surface Care (follow their instructions). To protect the finish, avoid household cleaners, soaps, ammonia, bleach, or abrasive cleaning products.

Protecting Your Furniture

To keep your piece looking its best:

• Wipe up spills promptly.

• Use coasters, trivets, and placemats to protect against heat, standing water, and scratches.

• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and extreme changes in humidity.

Long-Term Care
